After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the International Union Against Cancer UICC created the Solidarity Fund to support the needs of cancer organizations trying to help patients affected by the conflict.

The UICC Solidarity Fund supported projects that help overcome the impact of the conflict on Ukrainian cancer patients and their families now and in the near future.
The World Against Cancer Charitable Foundation received 6 grants from the UICC Foundation. 4 of them have already been completed and approved. 2 projects are still being extended.
- "Morphological and immunohistochemical diagnosis of breast cancer in women of Southeast Ukraine during the war" - September - December 2022 (project completed)
- "Psychological support of cancer patients and their families in the city of Zaporozhye (Ukraine) during the war" - September - December 2022 (project completed)
- "Treatment of severe morphine-resistant pain in patients with locally advanced primary inoperable head and neck cancer using radiofrequency thermal ablation of cranial nerve branches" - July - December 2023 (project completed)
- "Morphological and immunohistochemical diagnosis of breast cancer in women of Southeast Ukraine during the war years" - July - October 2023 (project completed)
- "Psychological support of oncology patients, their families, doctors and nurses of oncology departments of the city of Zaporizhzhia (Ukraine) during the war" - December 2023 - May 2024
